The Space Between | Matt Clark & William Greiner

From 6:01AM to 8:00PM

Artspace111 is honored to present The Space Between from January 19 through March 18, 2023. The Space Between project is a collaboration between Fort Worth native abstract painter Matt Clark and nationally collected photographer William Greiner. With work focused on the abstract and organic, Matt Clark brings thoughtful design to the expertly captured landscape photography of William Greiner.
The series was theorized after a post-pandemic road trip, where the pair gained inspiration from the rugged elevations of New Mexico and the burnished highways of Texas. Clark and Greiner explore the space between abstract painting and representational photography through combining their respected mediums.

Brahms Symphony No. 3

From 7:30PM to 9:30PM

FABIO LUISI conducts BRAHMS Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Op. 90 Although Brahms was just 50 when he wrote his Third Symphony, he looked back to younger days with the musical quotation of the motto Frei aber froh ("Free but happy"). In the rising exclamation from the winds that open this great symphony, the F-A-F motif hits you immediately. The compactness of the work intensifies the dramatic aspects of his third and penultimate symphony. As you listen to this richly romantic piece, you get a real sense that Brahms had hit his stride as a composer.

Location: Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center - 2304 Flora Street Dallas, TX 74201
